Spicy Advice Ragtime Band is a unique band on the Swedish jazz scene, a New Orleans band with young musicians only. Our music is inspired from recordings with musicians such as Bunk Johnson, George Lewis, Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Jelly Roll Morton and several others. We also have a few arranged Ragtime pieces on our repertoire and on some Festivals we also perform as a New Orleans brass band.

The Band was founded 1993 in northern Sweden but since 1998 the hometown of Spicy Advice is Stockholm. Spicy Advice has participated at several jazz festivals in Sweden and abroad. From 2001 and forward the Band has visited festivals and jazz clubs in Finland, Denmark, England, Germany, France and Norway. This Year Spicy Advice won the first price in the Competition at Euro Jazz Festival in Paris and also the Trumpet player of the Band, Joakim Falk, received first price in the Soloist category.
